When my subscription ends, are you going to renew it automatically?
No. A few weeks before it ends, you will receive a notice by email informing you that your subscription will soon end. You will then be directed to our online store, where you can renew your subscription.
I want to subscribe to one of your online products but a number of computer workstations must be able to access it. Am I entitled to a discount?
Yes. We offer a discount for multiuser subscriptions to online products. Details are given in our terms of sale .
I just subscribed to one of your online products. How can I access my subscription?
After completing your purchase, you will receive an automated confirmation email containing a hyperlink called Subscriber maintenance on which you click to access a page where you must enter a user name and a password for each user of the subscription. After having submitted this information you will be able to access your subscription from our home page.
Customer account
What is a customer account?
We offer institutions in operation or registered in the Registre des entreprises du Québec (Québec Enterprise Register) the opportunity, under certain conditions, to open a customer account to which they can charge their purchases. Note that only institutions in Canada can open a customer account.

What use do you make of the personal information I have to provide?
The information is collected solely to provide service adapted to your needs.
Your personal information is not disclosed to another government body unless your request is for that body or the information must be disclosed by law.
Is my personal information transmitted in a secure manner?
Your personal information is encrypted and transmitted between your computer and our server according to the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol used by your browser, in order to ensure secure data transmission.

Shipping
What are the shipping charges?
Shipping charges vary according to the type of customer and the amount of the purchase. For example, if you are an individual buying less than $19 worth of merchandise through our online store, shipping charges are $6. There are no shipping charges, however, if the online order is $19 or more.

Browsing and buying
I want to make a purchase from your online store. How do I go about it?
First of all, your Web browser must be set to accept cookies.
As you find the items you wish to buy, you place them in your shopping cart, through which you complete the ordering process. You can indicate the quantity of items you wish to buy and the shipping address, make your payment and so on. As soon as you complete your order, an automated confirmation email is sent to you. You will receive a second automated email when your order is shipped.
I downloaded a law, but the window that opened shows only a blank page. Why?
You probably have anti-pop-up software. It must be deactivated and you must restart your Web browser.
I downloaded a law containing a number of sections, but I only see the first two. Why?
That problem is usually caused by Norton Internet Security. You must deactivate it in order to display the complete law.
I ordered the computerized version of the Lease. I received the particulars but now I have to download the free part. Where is it?

I purchased a download, but I haven't received an automated email confirmation giving me access to it. What is the problem?
Your email manager probably treated our automated message as junk mail (spam). To eliminate the problem, modify the parameters of your email manager to accept messages from the email address of Les Publications du Québec: publicationsduquebec@servicesquebec.gouv.qc.ca.
It is also possible that, when you created your account, you made a mistake while entering your email address. If that's the case, the automated message can't reach you.
I wish to pay by credit card. Can I send you my credit card number by Email, fax or mail?

Returns
Do you accept returns?
We generally accept returns within 30 days after purchase. The items returned must be in good condition, that is, ready to be resold. Customers must pay the shipping charges when items are returned.

I want to return an item. What do I do?
You must first access your online account and click on the Initiate a return tab. You can then choose among all the orders shipped to you the one that is to be returned. Once you have initiated a return, an automated email is sent to you containing information relevant to your request to return the item. Your request to return an item will then be evaluated and we will send you our decision. Note that the return process ends only when we receive the merchandise. If the condition of the returned items is satisfactory, you will be reimbursed.
I purchased and downloaded an online product but it's not what I've been searching for. May I get a refund?
No. We don’t reimburse downloaded products or online subscriptions.
I purchased an Internet subscription, but I need it for only a few months. Can I be reimbursed for the amount of the subscription corresponding to the unused months?
No. Internet subscriptions are on a fixed one-year basis.
I purchased an Internet subscription, but I want to reduce the number of users. Can I be reimbursed for the amount of the subscription corresponding to the number of non-active users?
No. The number of users set for the year cannot be changed.

What is a special order?
An order of a minimum of 50 copies of an offprint that is not available in our catalogue.
